My name is Helen. I am from US. I was upset that I couldn't get the winner's factory book since I was not in india. But when I searched in amazon I was like "praise God." My only regret is not getting this book before. I love this book so much. It is so inspiring and I learned so much from it. I am looking forward to buy "my prayer's diary," but I noticed in kindle I can only highlight and can't write notes. If anyone else is able to make notes on kindle can you tell me how can I make notes on it? Thank you so much brother Damien for writing this book. I am feeling very confident and determined especially after reading the winner's factory. Thanks again.

Sweet and uplifting.

This book was written in the 1930's so the languge is sometimes kind of old fashion, but the messages are sweet and uplifting. Followers of Unity spirituality should enjoy and appreciate this little book of letters from Myrtle Filmore. Some of them touched me in a very personal way.

A blessing for those suffering with Chronic Illness

I have read quite a few of the Unity brochures but for some reason had missed out on some of these letters. Living with a chronic health problem I found Mrs Fillmore's letters to be uplifting as well as hopeful. I'm going to see if they will provide me with some healing of my own. I feel blessed to have found these!

About the Author

Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867–1957) was born in a log cabin in the Wisconsin woods. With her family, she pioneered throughout America’s heartland during the 1870s and 1880s, finally settling in Dakota Territory. She married Almanzo Wilder in 1885; their only daughter, Rose, was born the following year. The Wilders moved to Rocky Ridge Farm at Mansfield, Missouri, in 1894, where they established a permanent home. After years of farming, Laura wrote the first of her beloved Little House books in 1932. The nine Little House books are international classics. Her writings live on into the twenty-first century as America’s quintessential pioneer story.

Renée Graef received her bachelor's degree in art from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. A terrific book

I read this book when I was nine or ten. Now I'm reading the Little House novels. But I still remember how much I loved the chapter books, especially this one. It tells about Laura Ingalls and her adventures with her dog, Jack. I got really sad when the family lost Jack while crossing a river on their way to Kansas, and they thought he had died. But I loved when that night, an animal came to where the Ingalls were. It had bright eyes, and they thought it was a wolf! It turned out that the "wolf" was Jack! He hadn't died after all! The book told of lots of other adventures Laura had with Jack. I recommend this book to girls seven to ten. If you read this book, I know you'll enjoy it.

Laura and Jack, The Best Book Ever!

The book is very interesting because it showed me what it was like back in the 1800s. There are a lot of great characters in this book. Their dog Jack has nice colors and he really listens to his owners. Laura takes good care of her dog Jack and she listens to her parents very well. I like how Laura and Jack play in the woods together. Laura and Jack are best friends. Ma takes good care of her kids and she showed her family how to make food. Pa plows the fields and he makes the money. The whole family works together. At the end of the book, the family finds a cozy home to live in.

BEST NOVEL I HAVE EVER READ

Best novel I have ever read...again. I first read it in around 1973 and was moved so much by the story and the witing. Had always remembered it and decided to read it again after 40 years. It still holds up with the passage of time, and it's still the best novel I have ever read.

Love this book

This was my first novel that I ever read. The book was given to me from my aunt Betty, that is no longer living. I will always be greatful to her for turning me on to reading. I have read many books & can't remember most of the titles but this one & the sequel Mixed Blessing are forever in my mind. I even remembered that the lead character was named Elizabeth. I bought both books again and plan reading them again but this time I wont' give them away.

Good from start to finish.

This is a wonderful story from start to finish. Written in the 70's, the writing is more innocent then many books today, which I really enjoy.
You won't find bad words through this book. You will find a very admirable woman, much ahead of her times. She has to strike out on her own with three young children in a time when that just wasn't done. But she does it, She is very real, as are her children.
I have always enjoyed any book by Helen Van Slyke. Sadly she passed away, I still miss her stories.
Find a book with her name on it, and you will enjoy it.

High-quality beginner-to-intermediate Tableau book

Wishing to learn Tableau, I downloaded an evaluation copy of Tableau Desktop, viewed about 20 (high-quality and very helpful) videos in the "Tableau Training & Tutorials" section of tableau.com, and finally ordered a batch of Tableau books from Amazon - Amazon.co.uk, in my case - with the intention of reviewing the alternatives and leaving one or two titles for further study.

The contenders included:
"Tableau Data Visualization Cookbook" by Nandeshwar, Packt, 172 pages, £24 for a new paperback
"Creating Data Stories with Tableau Public" by Ohmann and Floyd, Packt, 222 pages, £23
"Rapid Graphs with Tableau 8" by McDaniel, Apress, 252 pages, £29
"Learning Tableau" by Milligan, Packt, 340 pages, £33
"Communicating Data with Tableau" by Jones, O'Reilly, 334 pages, £18
"Tableau for Dummies" by Monsey and Sochan, Wiley, 352 pages, £22
"Tableau Dashboard Cookbook" by Stirrup, Packt, 336 pages, £29
"Tableau 9: Official Guide" by Peck, McGraw-Hill, 352 pages, £24

Now, "Learning Tableau" is a decent book (a) crippled by its no-frills, black-and-white looks, and (b) spending much of its page count on beginner things, which could be picked up from the much nicer beginner-friendly titles, but (c) offering best-available coverage of table calculations and a number of tips and tricks. "Tableau 9: Official Guide" stands as the stronger choice, a polished and substantial book which may or may not be used as one's "gateway" to Tableau - I would recommend starting with "Tableau For Dummies" or "Communicating Data with Tableau" - but is a must as one's second Tableau book.

UPD. Add "Tableau for Healthcare" to the list of good beginner titles. Do not start learning Tableau with "Tableau 9: Official Guide" - you will appreciate it if/when you progress.

PS. Should you consider doing Tableau certification in the future, be warned: you have six months to take the exam. The warning is easy to miss - compared with that you get when taking a Qlik or Microsoft cert exam with Pearson VUE - and the exam's shelf life is half as long as Pearson's, as if missed deadlines (and free money for Loyalist, Tableau's no-name testing partner) were part of the business plan. I unwittingly missed the deadline - as it happens, by a single day - and was told to get lost by both Loyalist and Tableau. I have had a chance to observe Qlik's response to a similar customer request, and that was simply helpful; Tableau's, on the other hand, was North Korea meets Kafka. Don't get into this situation.
